Viscosity Reducing Additives
Hydra has further developed it’s technology to produce Viscosity Reducing Additives for a range of coatings and other applications.
These Additives can be designed to provide maximum viscosity drop for minimum addition, thereby achieving viscosity reduction but not at the expense of VOC levels.
The figure shows the effect in a methacrylate system. With 10% addition of the Hydra Additive the overall viscosity reduces by 50%.
The Hydra Viscosity Reducing Additives are designed to maintain overall coatings characteristics of the formulation. However, certain properties, such as adhesion, can also be incorporated into the Additive design.
