John spent 13 years with Unilever plc in manufacturing and R&D roles, before moving into consumer marketing. He became Marketing Director on the board of Unilever's UK food business running brands including PG Tips, Calve, Colmans and Oxo. In 2002 he became Managing Director of Unilever Ventures at its foundation. John graduated from Oxford with a degree in Engineering Sciences.
